The tool bar contains icons to initiate JET 3270 functions with a single click. When a tool bar icon is dimmed it is not applicable at that time.
The tool bar icons are:
Connect to Remote Host
Connects to the host. The same as Connect on the Connection menu.
Disconnect from Remote Host
Disconnects from the host. The same as Disconnect on the Connection menu.
New Window
Creates a new window using this window's session. The same as New Window on the Session menu.
New Session (+)
Creates a new session in this window. The same as New on the Session menu.
Open Session
Displays the Open Session dialog box, so you can select a session to open in this window. The same as Open... on the Session menu.
Close Session
Closes this window. The same as Close on the Session menu.
Save Session (+)
Saves the session to the local file system. The same as Save on the Session menu.
Save Session As (+)
Displays the Save Session As dialog box, so you can specify a name to save the session as. The same as Save As... on the Session menu.
Print Screen
Prints the terminal screen. The same as Print Screen... on the Session menu.
Cut
Copies the selected text to the clipboard then deletes it. The same as Cut on the Edit menu.
Copy
Copies the selected text to the clipboard. The same as Copy on the Edit menu.
Paste
Inserts text from the clipboard at the cursor location. The clipboard contents may be from the JET 3270 terminal screen or another application. The same as Paste on the Edit menu.
Receive files from the host
The same as Receive File... on the Session menu.
Send files to the host
The same as Send File... on the Session menu.
Session Settings (+)
Displays the Session Settings dialog box, so you can view and/or modify the session settings. The same as Session Settings on the Session menu.
Preferences (*)
Displays the Preferences dialog box, so you can view and/or modify the preferences. The same as Preferences on the Session menu.
Stop Script/Recording
Stops a running script or a recording. The same as Stop Script/Recording on the Connection menu.
Record Session for Script(+)
Starts recording keystrokes for saving as a script. The same as Record Session for Script on the Connection menu.
(*) This menu item is not displayed if the disable_preferences applet parameter is set to yes.
(+) These menu items are not displayed if the disable_session_settingsapplet parameter is set to yes.
